why

Recently I had to transfer a link containing two SHA1 hashes from one pc to another. I neither knew what e mail address is available, nor wanted to open the mail application. I din't want to enter my webmail password. So I copied the link via ssh to my server in a simple txt file and accessed it from the other machine. That was a nice solution, but I thought it will be more helpfull if it is a bit more straightforward.

I need a script for that

Well of course, before typing a set of commands, I wrote a script and then decided I may want to have separate storages, something like a online tmp folder or you may call it notepad. But the ssh way was too much for this in my opinion, because it is public accessible anyway....

I decided to create a minimal remote part on my server using PHP and the Respect/Rest package, to build a REST API. Another thing I wanted to try. Respect/Rest is small straightforward and offers what I need for this without giving me a million of options.

At the end

There are two repositories:

Have fun.

Social Networks

Well a few weeks ago I decided to quit nearly all the social networks. They produce a lot of white-bread information I do not take care of. But somehow you read your "streams" multiple times a day so you don't miss the one of a thousand news you are interested in. That's the reason I quit.
